being of use or service; serving some purpose; advantageous, helpful, or of good effect
In my home office I have a shoebox of electronic accessories. I better keep these...they’re really useful, I say to myself. But I hardly ever open that box because it’s a jumble of random items.
If these items are so useful, how come I rarely use them?
The truth is, most of them are not useful to me. I keep them because they could be useful. But I’d be better off donating or recycling the extra USB cables and HDMI adapters so I can more easily see the items that truly are of service (such as spare batteries).
The more clearly we see things for what they are, the easier it is to know what to do next.
