Choosing to Lead

What do you see when you look in the mirror?

• Authority or Timidity?
• Conviction or Hesitancy?
• Diligence or Carelessness?
• Intelligence or Absentmindedness?
• Composure or Nervousness?

More than likely, it’s all of those and more.

Chances are, you are a fighter and a leader and also, sometimes, a petulant child. Those attributes are all there, rearing their heads from time to time in the form of your best and worst moments.

The fact those exist side by side in you does not make you a worse human or a better human.   It simply makes you a human. 

And the challenge of each day and each year and each life is to not let the judgments about your shortcomings to stop you from recognizing the tremendous ability you have to lead, love and contribute, right here and now.

You give a lot, already.  And you have even more to share.  The world could really use the best of you.  Get out there and continue to lead.
