Change the Question
Jan. 21, 2024Pay attention to the questions you ask yourself.
Subtle adjustments in the questions can make a big difference in how you tackle the situation.
You might ask yourself "will I work out today?"
But if you ask "what time will I work out today?" it completely shifts the focus.
Consider these pairs of questions:
- when will I make my next sale?
- when will I make my next sale over $20,000?
- when will my presentation skills improve?
- what will it take to improve my presentation skills?
- how am I supposed to know what to do?
- who could I talk with, to make this easier?
These adjustments shift the orientation from one of hoping, to one of responsibility and action.
